Pretty Good, But With Definite Downsides
I have been in the market for something to replace the Vuse Solo, which I have been using for a few years now, so that will be the main comparison I have for my review. I have tried a couple of other devices which either were not what I was looking for, or performed terribly. My two biggest requirements were an automatic draw (as opposed to a button), and something cigarette-shaped. Packaging - It comes in a very nice, sturdy box, complete with instructions, one battery, 3 cartridges, the charging case, and charging cable. The charging case is very nice with a matte silver finish that hides fingerprints nicely. The vape fits snugly but isn't difficult to get back out. . Size - The eRoll Mac is actually shorter than I was expecting, but is pretty much equivalent to an actual cigarette. Performance - The flavor from this vape is much milder than the Vuse Solo, BUT I'm not sure how much is the vape itself and how much is the juice. I am using a nic salt with 25mg, and the throat hit is also very mild. The vapor production is slightly less than your average cigarette, which is to be expected, I think. Battery - The battery life is honestly absolutely abysmal, especially when compared to the Vuse. I vape quite a lot, and the Vuse could get me through almost a whole day. This one requires charging every 2-4 hours, depending. It charges quickly, (about half an hour) and the case has a decent battery life (one charge seems to roughly equate to 25% battery), but it's still troublesome. Other notes: My first cartridge had a broken seal on it (it separated from the cap when gently unscrewing it and was stuck in the tank) and was unusable. I had a LOT of trouble with spitting and leaking with my second cartridge, and I think some of that was definitely user error. It lasted about 2 days before it started tasting burnt. This third cartridge I've had zero issues with leaking or spitting, and I've made an effort to keep it mostly upright (which is a bit of a pain with an ecig style vape) and more than half-full. Final thoughts: Decent, and better than options I've tried in the past, but with definite shortcomings. I'm going to try it with a different juice and see if that helps with flavor/hit, at which point the battery will be something I can overlook.
